Comedienne Tanya Lewis

She was the class clown long before she was on a stage. It took a "Live Your Dreams" event for her to hear that the gift was never just for laughs.

Tanya has always used humor to get people's attention and to open a door to a real conversation. On stage she talks about joining the church, getting the Holy Ghost, and the song she wrote about being fit for the Kingdom, and she does it with a style and confidence that makes the room feel like part of the act.

She is a two-time Church Stars Comedienne of the Year and an honoree at the African American Museum. She has opened for Marcus D. Wiley, Chinnata Morris, Mo'Nique, Cocoa Brown, Le'Andria Johnson, VaShawn Mitchell, Griff, Raheem DeVaughn and Rev. Jesse Jackson, and she recently performed at the 39th Annual Stellar Awards.

Off stage she is the founder of DMV's Got Talent, the author of "Restored," and the writer and producer of the stage play "Torn," which earned her a Producer of the Year award and a Stage Play of the Year nomination.

People call her the Doc of Comedy, because she has a way of bringing laughter through any kind of pain. Book her for your next event and she will leave you in stitches.
