Torn is a story of restoration and hope. It will have you laughing, crying, sitting in amazement and wondering how she made it.
Tanya has come through experiences that could have ended her, and she is honest that what carried her through was letting God love and heal her. The play asks the audience to be slow to judge, because there is a reason people make the choices they make, and it shows what love can do once it is actually released to a person.
She describes the childhood that made her question her identity, digs up the pain she had hidden, confronts it, and uses it to help somebody else. The point of the whole thing is leaving the shame behind and moving forward.
